I was on the cover of the Financial Times for biohacking.
The Financial Times interviewed me for their featured article.
I was featured in the Los Angeles Times weekly magazine.

The same article was featured in Slate Magazine.
I presented – twice – at the first Quantified Self conference, once on hacking your autonomic nervous system and again on using lab test data. Again at the second Quantified Self conference, on how your orgasms impact your performance.
I gave a talk to more than 1,000 people at South by Southwest on how to use technology to upgrade your brain.
Media Evolution, the SXSW of Scandinavia, invited me to present at their conference in Sweden on stage with Susan Maushart, best selling author of “The Winter of our Disconnect.” I talked about how you can hack information overload.
For the last 10 years, I’ve been a leader for a well respected 19 year old Silicon Valley anti-aging non-profit called The Silicon Valley Personal Health Institute (formerly known as Smart Life Forum). I have been on the board for 6 years and am now President and Chairman.
I’m also the former CTO and co-counder of www.mybasis.com, a company with a watch that records heart rate and puts it online.
I was heavily involved with putting the first heart rate data online in an automated fashion in 2005/6 through my advisory work with Kleiner-backed Corventis.
In short, I’m an old-school biohacker who has put health info online since it first became possible. My work is well known, respected, and well-published in that field.
